For a Better Contract and a Stronger Union

In this bargaining period, Green Dot has shown itself to fail to address the needs of teachers and counselors. What Green Dot has proposed (1-2% raise, 3 days off the calendar) is far below what we deserve, and ignores our demands regarding class sizes, caseloads, and returning bonuses. 
 

Unfortunately, our union leadership is ready to capitulate to this offer. Rather than fight for a better contract now, it is the belief of leadership that it makes more sense to agree to a bad contract now in the hopes of theoretical wage increases later, when we're locked into a contract and can't easily threaten to strike. 

This makes no sense! A union with no strike power is a weak and ineffectual union! Show Green Dot and AMU Leadership that we mean business! Sign the petition and get involved!
